The house has no eyes

Felt is an ownerless, provably-fair, non-custodial poker protocol for public EVM blockchains. It exists to answer a simple question: what does online poker look like when there is no operator in the middle — no company holding your funds, no server that can see your cards, no house that sets the rules?

What makes it different

• No house. The protocol takes no rake to any address a person controls. On-chain, network rake goes to the block validator; the only fee is a minimal, disclosed frontend fee in the reference client, and it trends toward zero as clients compete.
• Your keys, your funds. Buy-ins sit in an immutable escrow you control, released only by the players at your table under rules that cannot be changed, paused, or reversed.
• Nobody can see your cards. Cards are dealt with mental-poker cryptography — encrypted under a key split across every player, so your hole cards stay secret as long as one player stays honest. There is no trusted dealer and no server that could peek.
• The shuffle is provable. Randomness comes from a verifiable multi-party shuffle, checkable on-chain — not from a black-box RNG you're asked to trust.
• Stats are derived, not stored. Hand history and standings come from public on-chain events, so they are as auditable as the chain itself.

Honest about where we are

Felt is testnet and play-money only until an external cryptographer and security firm complete a full audit. We would rather ship the truth than overclaim. The mission is to cut the intermediary — to make a fair game that belongs to its players, not to a house.
